GENESIS BLOCK

Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonym of the cryptographer or group of cryptographers that conceptualized Bitcoin as a “Peer to Peer Electronic Cash System.” The whitepaper was released on October 31, 2008 on a message board frequented by members of the cryptography community, and the GENESIS BLOCK - the first block on the Bitcoin Network Blockchain - was mined on January 3, 2009.
